Worthington Masonry
Award winning stone artist

Katherine is a London-based self-employed architectural stone carver/sculptor, letter cutter and mason who has worked consistently for the last 15 years.

Katherine spent four years in London working as an employee of several major stonework companies. She then became self employed and set up her own business Worthington Stone Carving in 2004. In this capacity she has worked on many major and minor restorations projects in the UK and Australia encompassing a wide range of architectural styles as a subcontractor. She has also completed several original commissions in her own right and is developing this side of the business. For example she has just finished modelling and carving portraiture heads for Westminster Abbey’s Chapter House.

Katherine has ample space and machinery to handle large stones. For example the 2 metre high Lion and Unicorn ’shown above’ on London Hippodrome, Leicester Square. And also for the marble altar suite for St Peter and St Pauls Church. This contributed to the reordering of the church which won an award.
She offers creative suggestions, modelling and design, discussions of stone techniques and fixing in location.
