Katherine's work on the heads for the Chapter House of Westminster Abbey (view) involved her in the true depiction of the human head for the first time and she has since extended her range of materials to clay and plaster as well as stone. She has found a freedom through the use of new media and experimentation together with the adaption of her carving technique to develop her own special style. She enjoys the challenge of achieving an excellent likeness. This can be seen in her portraits. She has also won first prize for the 2010 Morley College Sculpture Society Portrait Head Competition

Commission a Portrait
(Human, Pet or other animal)
These can be either in stone, clay, plaster or other material, life size or as required. To complement the sitting and to reduce the time photographs will be taken together with a short film. The sitting can take as little as a day of your time or can be in shorter sessions. If the subject is not available Katherine can work from photos.
The process for Pets is similar to the above but sittings are not required.

Pregnancy casting
Katherine can cast baby bumps to capture the moment, she can also cast the torso or whole figure. The casts are used to complement her sculpture (material as above) or to be a piece in its own right. The casting is done with plaster bandages used in hospitals to mend broken bones and is completely baby safe. This process can be done in approximately half an hour depending on size.
